A Skills Development Opportunity (SDO) is employment while the Member practices skills with structure and support that fosters success. The integral part to an SDOs success is the relationship between the business, Leadership Coach (LC), and the TCS Member. An SDO is goal oriented, aligning with the goals of the Member’s Development Plan.
Structured and supportive work opportunities like the SDO allow for skill development and practice. Work provides the foundation to build upon these work skills and move into skill building for a healthy, empowered, and happy life. A firm work life creates a foundation to foster increased stability in many areas of their lives.
The goals of the SDO process are:
• Learn or practice specific skills that are connected to the Member’s goals.
• Member gains practical work experience which open the doors of opportunity
